Getting here - your way to Berchtesgaden
The Berchtesgadener Land is situated in the most south-east corner of Germany, near Austria. The vicinity to Salzburg and Munich, as well as a good traffic infrastructure makes Berchtesgaden easy to reach. In the following we would like to provide you with a brief overview.
Next airports: Salzburg approx. 20 km (12 mi), Munich approx. 170 km (106 mi); a bus transfer is possible from both cities.
Getting here by car: From both the directions Munich and Innsbruck the highway (Autobahn) exit Bad Reichenhall applies, from directions Salzburg and Vienna the exit Grödig / Berchtesgaden. Alternatively the scenic route German Alp Route (B 305, Deutsche Alpenstrasse) is possible.
Train connections: From and to Munich (München), Innsbruck, Vienna (Wien) and Salzburg
Accommodations: Due to the large variety of hotels and pensions available in Berchtesgaden, we deliberately left the opportunity open for you to organise your own accomodations. Over Berchtesgaden's main portal you can search the whole range of offers with the ability to book online.
